Explorers (Howlers ESU) meet in the Murieston area on Friday evenings. Please get in touch to confirm specific section times before visiting for the first time.
Scouting costs £12 per young person per month. In acknowledgement of the current pressure on finances, if the cost is a barrier to a young person continuing to attend Scouts, please talk to our Treasurer. We beleive that nobody should be exlcuded due to the cost of subscription payments.
We have some pre-loved equipment and uniforms to reduce the need to buy new uniform and kit (and save the planet!) for young people.
Request to Scouting families - if you have equipment or uniform at home that's in good condition and that you no longer need or use, please get in touch, we will gladly take them off your hands! Items we are particularly interested in are walking boots, rucksacks, waterproofs and sleeping bags.
The safety and wellbeing of every young person in our care is our absolute top priority. The 14th West Lothian Scout Group operates in full compliance with the Scout Association's Yellow Card safeguarding policy and The Scouts' Safe Scouting Framework.
All adult volunteers hold current Disclosure Scotland (PVG) clearance and have completed mandatory safeguarding training as required by the Scout Association. No volunteer is permitted to work with young people until all checks are complete and approved.
